    2.7l Petrol engine

My starter motor burnt out completely yesterday and nealry took out the wiring as well!

Can anyone tell me where I can get a new unit for my motor.

    It runs a 2.7l 4cyl petrol engine - RZN185.

Milners cannot supply and the Toyota want £281 + VAT.

    Thansk for any help

Sorry for not being more help than to point out that you arent giving your engine type in the above details. RZN185 is a model no identifying your chassis type.

Just pinched this info from a US 4runner history:
'A 2.7-liter DOHC 16-Valve inline four-cylinder engine that makes 150hp at 4800 rpm and 177 ft-lbs of torque at 4000 rpm is standard. This engine develops 150 horsepower an increase of 34 compared to the previous generation's four-cylinder and equal to the previous generations V6.'

Reading around on net says its a 3RZFE

Post up a pic of it or a part No, would be nice to know it is the same as other starters.

Already fitted but the part number for my car which is a 2.7l 4-cyl 3RZFE engine is:

          28100 - 75090

This is the Toyota part number.

The recon unit which came back also had this number on it.

          Hope this helps.

If you want you can send me the engine/chassis details (off list) of your vehicle and I will check it aginst my EPC.

          Cheers
