  • changing heads and.....

    Hi all,

I'm looking for some general advice from people who may have changed heads before,

Is there anything that i should change at the same time, seeing as though my engine is going to be in bits??

Is it worth changing pistons & rings, (even though i think theyre fine after doing compression test).

Also is there any good information on changing the timing belts? as i will defiantly do this at the same time, though people keep warning me of doing it myself, but i think i'm gonna give it a bash anyway. it cant be that hard can it?

    any advice is appreciated.

I wouldn't bother with pistons and rings myself. Put a new timing belt on obviously.

I didn't get charged that much when I had my belt changed so it can't be that hard. There is a Haynes manual available for the V6.
