HT Leads upgrade

yeah, the real things i want are thicker and designed more for LPG, there is a company in oz who do them but I dont know anyone going there soon so a little stuck.
Top Gun stainless steel spiral wound 8mm leads (manufactured by Belden Cables) are designed for LPG so would like to get them, I know its probably over the top but it all helps

Something along them lines, a friend of mine is looking at getting some 8mm leads 'made up' for a range rover, i can't remember who he was going to get them made by, but it was demon tweeks or someone like that.

well old leads can be a week spot in the system,
Plus bigger leads should give you less heat, therefore less resistance therefore better spark for longer, thats my fairly un educated thoughts.
The reason I want good leads as LPG systems are very sensitive to any weaknesses in the ingition system (they are much more sensitive than petrol systems) so if I am replacing them then I want to know whats the best and how much more it will cost than standard leads (which cost about 120 quid).
So maybe its bu11sh1t that they are just for LPG but they are the same leads that they recormend for performance upgrades.

Yep, really.

LPG needs the best spark possible, as its harder to ignite. So basically, LPG leads are really just high end leads with the best spec. You'd be surprised how many LPG conversions don't run happily, but run fine on petrol, just because the ignition system isn't up to scratch.

Chris, remeber you need special narrow leads, cos the V6 has a odd dizzy cap, most leads don't fit.

I was looking on the ozzy and US forum and it was a guy on the Ozzy forum that was talking about these leads, so they must make them to fit.

I sell performance HT leads at work.

The lead spec must be Hi-Temp 8mm Silicone 5.6K ohms per metre Ferromagnetic Core.

Which will provide a very low resistance rating of 5.6 ohms whilst remaining fully suppressed.

If you find an HT lead set with this printed on the cable it should be a high quality lead set.

High performance HT leads are £19.00 + VAT.

Standard silicone HT leads are £9.00 + VAT.

I work for a parts exporter/wholesaler (not open to the public) specialising in Land Rover & Jaguar parts, therefore we don't have a retail outlet.....we don't take credit cards....so if you want to buy any HT leads you will need to pay cash. As all our customers are on an account basis.
