  • How rare?

Is the 3LV6 Surf? I have never seen another one, there only seems like a few people here have one. Most surfs are 2.5 deisels and the owners that I meet never even knew they did a V6!

Any guesses as to how many in the UK?

      Thirsty but the best!!!!
I have a 4 runner which i guess is exactly the same and think its great, the only down side i have is it does not have aircon, but in the uk you dont really need it.
They are rare but thats good!
They are faster than the 3.0td which is another plus point

We have compared my 3.0TD with Tony's ex's V6 4 runner and there isnt a lot of difference. The V6 is marginally faster pulling away, but it was a manual whilst the 3.0TD is auto which will account for some of it. Top speed and general driving speed is no different.

Honestly, they arn't much different, but its no slight on the V6, It was as quick as any other normal 4x4. But after some traffic light fun with a 4.0 Cherokee in the Bullet last week, which the Bullet walked , the only reason to pick a V6 is they sound sweeter.

the V6 is 160hp, and the desiel is 140/150 can't remember properly, but bags more torque.

The V6 is sweet apart from when it is defunked like mine is at the moment. Am seriously thinking of getting rid. Don't have the time or patience to strip it down again. Maybe put it out to seed until the summer. Very interested in the V8 conversion though. give my mate in his V8 disco some hassel

I have a 4runner V6. Sounds lovely, straight through pipe (no cat), Air pipe mod (just the right amount of induction noise) & it's tweeked.. LOVE IT (wouldn't mind an Auto version - getting idle in my old age )
              NO WORRIES!
