The ones I meant are after the CATs. Still keep these?

Been under the ####### for the past hour and I'm gonna have to grind the bolts. I've WD40'd the CAT bolts as they look clean. Shame my torque gun could'nt fit in any of the spaces. Would have made easy work of it.

Yeah I have used the big leads mate but I opened up all the clips with a grinder so they fit in nice and snug. I checked them all too just to be sure.
Have taken all the covers off now also so I can get at them all.
So frustrating though, I get it running good with all the gears and now this is stopping me from using it :-(
It won't go over 30mph now and struggles up small inclines.

This prob isn't the reason but, did you use large dia Magnicore ign leads, I did and as they don't fit in the holders as they go over the cam pully, one of mine came loose and just rubbed enough so as the cam turned it cut into the core of the cable, not right through but it could be enough to make it miss under load, i fixed mine ok with some silocon jell.

Do the Oxygen sensors need to be kept when removing from the Lexus?

Gonna try and at least remove the exhaust today.

Hi all I think I may have worked it out, I have been checking up online and read up on ls 400's with similar problems. I read that the ignition timing is run off number 6 cylinder which is the one I had under water, I have a feeling this has messed up either the coils or the igniters for that bank. So I'm gonna replace both coils and igniters and hopefully this will solve the problem. Will check wiring in that area too as the drivers side ie uk passenger side, the wire to the coil can rest against the block and and heat up to the point it touches the block and cause a short. No prob on low revs but under load or high revs the problem becomes clear.
Thanks for the offer of the O2 sensors growler but I'm gonna give this a try first and see how I get on.
I may still need them though if all goes t:ts up ha!

PM me your address and i'll sort the sensors over the weekend.

Are you sure your TPS is working correctly ? I only ask as i found that one of the four cores in the connector loom was breaking down on mine.

I ended up replacing the sensor and loom. so can drop the sensor in the package as well if you want to try it ?

Cool thanks buddy, I was planning on getting some new ones eventually but was trying to hang it out as they ain't cheap!
Just drove it home and it seems to have got worse, any throttle apart from very light and it just bogs out to the point of nearly stalling and the odd back fire, must be sonething else I think, I'm worried it may be injector related. If I rev up slowly it seems to get up to around 3000 but as soon as I throttle hard it bogs out.

I think I have a spare pair of good O2 sensors if you want to borrow them and see if it improves things

I'll dig them out tomorrow just in case

Would they cause it to go into limp mode though?
They Been fine previously, makes me worried I have ballsed something up now :-(
This couldn't be down to me cutting the return pipe short in the tank could it?
Thanks buddy for the help I'm sure ur very busy :-)

They are a little, seems to be a lot of condensation coming out too, dripping and spraying.

When I floor it in any gear it just bogs out
As soon as it gets near 2000 rpm the revs drop and feels like it's gonna stall but then low revs r ok
This sounds like the ECU is in limp mode.
Two of those codes you posted are for the main O2 sensors in the manifolds. Are the exhaust emmisions smokey?
I'm having the exact same codes here with this truck, (same ECU) I'll let you know my findings.

Seems that when it gets to 2000 rpm it seems like it's hitting a rev limiter and won't change up to 3rd unless I ease off the throttle. Then it will change up but again it happens in third too
O/d is working now as I can see the revs drop if I switch it off
I thought Revs would rise if you turn OD off as it is basically changing down a gear, or am i confused

Any hard throttling and it bogs out now :-(
I loosened off the fuel pipe to the injector rail and there is lots of pressure there
Took of the pipes before the afm and it still does the same.
When I first start it, it seems ok for about ten seconds ie revs up to 3500 but then goes back to bogging out again
