Ok after not being bothered with the repairs involved and the possible bill that joins them, I am considering an engine transplant, was thinking if I can find a 2.8 or 3L for the 93 Hilux Surf, or any other suggestions?
easiest to swap is a 5l-e and fit your old turbo gear.
otherwise 5l or 3l will bolt straight in (and fit turbo gear etc) but requires either fitting a different crank sensor setup or converting to mechanical pump.
