got this email from dakota digital and its a bit worrying as they say it wont fully work but have given another website of one that might?
so this will give 4/5 of the speed so if doing 50 it will show 40??

Dan,
No, the SGI-5 will not be able to adjust the speed that far. It only has a four times multiplication so it can only reach 16 pulses. We have nothing that can help.
If that car is rear wheel drive another US company JTR Conversions www.jagsthatrun.com has reluctor ring designed for a Chevy S-10 pickup. It produces twice the amount you are looking for but with the SGI-5 we can cut that in half and make minor adjustments to fine tune the accuracy of the speedometer.

Subject: techical question RE UNIVERSAL SIGNAL INTERFACE UNIT
Hello
I have currently put a lexus 1UZFE 1993 engine into a 1993 2.4D LN130 hilux surf. The surf speed sensor gives 4 pulses per revolution and the lexus dash clock needs 20 pulses per revolution so the speedo is reading
1/5 of the speed. Will this device solve this problem and what settings would I need to have it on for it to work.
