LN130===Engine out!!

Quiet pleased with my efforts!
Started at 11 and finished at 5.30.
Engine and tranny out, ready for the buyer to collect in about 2hrs time!!

Why does someone buy a surf without the engine - ebay again - or a lexsurf?

The buyer was coming for the A1 engine!!
(but i do have a buyer lined up for the bodyshell!)

tinitin how good friends are you with the person who is buying the body shell? as i am after the weight of the body or basically everything above the chassis rail, a guestimate is 1300kg chassis engine drivetrain, 600kg body and interior?

The fella buying it is alright, but i have absolutely no idea how one would go about weighing it!

If it's any help at all the following were done on bathroom scales

Complete tailgate 43kg
Rear bumper 3pcs 14kg
Bumper brkts 1kg each

hi Alan

thankss for that! after fitting the front drivers door i guess that is about 35-40 Kg so x that by 4 and get 150kg at least then the bonnet is about 15kg so the 4 doors, bonnet, tailgate prob weigh 200kg+ then the body itself is about 200kg+ without the interior! umm potential project is looking plausible
