i read a fair bit on that set up - its pretty simple - does away with the 2 distributors and uses coil on plug. its more or less whats being used on sport bikes.

the main cost is the new brain, i saw one from oz for $1000 with its own software.

i was more interested in the guy from the us that basically did the same ignition set up but used an 850cfm holley instead of injection.

the holley set up must be super reliable as it gets rid of most of the lexus gubbins that goes wrong. downside will be 12mpg as a carb is never going to meter fuel as well as an ecu injection set up. looks great with twin holleys sat on the top though

Megasquirt is a cheap option..I 'built' the ECU from a kit when I swapped my RS Turbo over to efi, then mapped it..most satisfying!

Another 'cheap' option is bike carbs. Essentially analogue throttle bodies, but balancing and tuning 8 carbs could be fiddly. I rekon there'd be room for them tho.
