Did you get those other exhaust bits? I have now got everything on the list, bar a new rad. I've got the old rad which TonyN swapped out, but have been too busy to get anywhere with looking at refurbishment, so am thinking I may just go down the RoughTrax road.
I also haven't got any bits for the Lexus lump - happy to let you see what you think needs replacing when you get it down there, but would rather buy new bits if there is any doubt at all... When I did the diagnostics it said it needed two new sensors, but couldn't for the life of me work out what that corresponded to on the site Gra found. Are you happy to source any stuff you think would benefit from a change and I'll add the cost onto what I owe you?
Was looking at a couple of your comments about supercharging on various posts. Have you done a supercharged version? Do you think it is feasible, and if so what do you reckon it would cost? Could be fun...

The only parts that have been delivered so far is the exhaust tube.
If you're getting a new one, get the 3.0 diesel rad, more capacity.

Wasn't it O2 sensors? if it was codes 27 & 29 then they're sub O2 sensors, which you won't need anyway as I delete the CATs.
I'll source anything you'll need no problem.

I haven't done one yet, it's is feasible, but may or may not need a bulge in your bonnet!
    The kits are mega bucks!!
They do look awesome though, and increase bhp to around 360.

Lawks amercy. That looks epic. But I fear that 5500 bucks is a pretty steep price for an extra 100bhp. Especially since a whole lot of uprating elsewhere would probably need to follow to avoid that whole irritating "dying in a massive fireball" kind of a thing...
The evil voice inside is keen though...

They are very expensive as there's not many tuners making bolt-on stuff for the 1UZ. The cheaper alternative is to use a Jaguar supercharger and get an intake adapter made.

Funnily enough I was just looking at http://www.lextreme.com/Supercharged-Lexus.html and http://www.alastair-mcpherson.com/ul...ning_guide.htm which suggest using Eaton M90 or M112's. Looks as though it may be possible to pick up the supercharger for not too much, but still quite a lot of other bits and bobs involved....

There is a cheap Jag Eaton M90 S/C on ebay at the moment... Not sure whether that would work... (there is a M112 as well) http://shop.ebay.co.uk/?_from=R40&_t...All-Categories

Oh dear, what have I started!?

Incidentally for the guy who was looking at a Lotus uzfe conversion, this may be of interest... http://www.waiheke.co.nz/boat/lotus11.htm - check out the hilarious bonnet bulge!

PS I have chased Jetex for those exhaust bends - they were sent out on the 11th - although the postcode they had on the invoice was one letter out, so maybe they went astray. They are checking with the carrier and getting back to me, so hopefully I will get it sorted.

Funny you should mention that, a delivery bloke asked my where 63 Twyn place was the other day, "it's further down the hill on the left I said", this is Twyn road.

Come to think of it, There's not enough houses in Twyn place to have a number 63. That could have been your Jetex stuff. The driver didn't come back here though.

love the supercharger - dont like the price much, im guessing theres import robbery on top and the air mail wont be cheap for a big lump like that either.

a week on a bridgeport and a big clod of alloy same result for less cash.
wish i had the time to give it a try it's worth doing just for the look.

Snap. If it could be done for a grand, then that would be one thing (and even then completely unjustifiable, but lots of fun). But 4 grand odd seems a bit ott...

Vince, the bends will be with you tomorrow. You're right - they tried to deliver them to Twyn Place and then gave up. Muppets. No-one can use any initiative now that everything relies on Sat Nav these days...
