i can make the panels for you if you want vince - when you use 0.8mm car body panels you might get a bit of distorsion when you weld them in cos its a pre stressed panel - i can roll them from 1.5 or even 2mm sheet and itll spot weld in a treat - might save you a bit of filler time and looking like a snowman for a weekend. i can use my own surf as a pattern. youll need to roll the top edge of the panel to get the top curve radius anyway - or bend it round a pipe

Vince, don't suppose the Lexus brake pads have any life left in them do they? Need a couple of rear brake pad sets to keep me going for a few weeks, but am reluctant to buy a new set for obvious reasons...

Too late mate, it's gone to the crusher now!

If it's any consolation, the fronts were worn right down, so the rears wouldn't have been far off. I wouldn't have used them myself.

Not started it yet, just pulled the engine/trans from the Lexus so it's here ready.

Oh yes I saw that... It never ceases to amaze how so-called professionals can be so utterly incompetent. Good luck sorting that lot out, though I doubt you need it.
On a more positive note, Tony and Linda just dropped by to pick up the White Bison. Not only were they the nicest people that you could meet, but my wife got to see their awesome truck with the massive lift and huge boots, and immediately asked whether that was what the Lexurf was going to look like. Wasn't sure quite what the right answer was, so guardedly suggested that well it could be if she would like that. "Oh yes" says she "that is soooo cool"!!! Knew there was a reason why I married her ! So now we have carte blanche to really go to town on it!!!
Thinking 33's and a 4" susp lift for starters... :!!!

You'll need a 2" bodylift before the V8 can be fitted anyway don't forget.

You don't happen to have a cream leather (rather than grey leather) drivers seat do you? I am currently repairing a LS400 for a friend of mine and the seat is not reclining on one side and looks like the slines have chewed off.

For the future - how much do you charge to do the engine swap? I am thinking of doing it now I have had a play with my friends LS - amazing engine!
