Do you have a power rear mirror thingy in the rear spoiler? I discovered a button like that for mine.

I have looked in my surf handbook (does not have a lot of infomation in) It shows it as the ETC (sport economy buton) on PETROL AUTO BOX. I assume your is not petrol from the description as 3.0. Do you have a ETC button in front of the gear stick? . If this is the ECT button then a light should come on the dash when pressed. Has your engine been changed?
