Couple of noobish Questions..

Im presuming the surf should be left in 2wd for all tarmac running?
What is the 4x4 button on the 4wd - 2wd leaver for?

Also behind this leaver on the centre console is a little black button?
Whats it for...?

Oh and... what size speakers will fit in the standard housings? does anyone know?

If you mean the black push button switch in front of the gear lever, it's usually the ECT switch. This changes the auto gearbox from normal to sport mode, meaning it hangs on to each gear a bit longer to give you better acceleration but at the cost of higher fuel consumption. Edit: just noticed your details say you've got a manual, so forget this. Not sure now unless it's the rear window switch.

What sort of button? Rocker, Push button, latching, non latching, single/two position etc, any markings?

Guess it could be your rear window switch or for your front spots (if you have them)

I am guessing it doesn't have any writing on it?

Its not the rear window switch that ones marked..

Its just a plain black push lock push again button with no markings at all..

The car doesnt have spots or even a bull bar...

And the fog light button is elsewhere too..

get on some grass in 4wheel drive and drive in a circle.if it is. when engaged your inner wheels should rip the grass up,because thy will turn the same distance as the outer wheels.
