  • What's the "V" stand for?

I've just bought a 3.0L SSRV (Manual). and have been unable to find out what the V stands for as it appears that the majority of other Surf's that I've seen are denoted with an "X". Is it because it's a manual rather than an Auto?
Any one got any other ideas?

Have a search through the forum for trim level or something like that. The SSRV is just a trim designation and roughly the levels go as follows.

    SSR
    SSRV
    SSRX
    SSRG

with a few limiteds thrown in for good measure. However don't worry about what trim level you got because there were so many dealer fit options that som Vs have better spec than some Xs and some Xs better than Gs and so on. As long as it has what you want on it it doesn't matter.

    Cheers

      What the "V" Stands For

      Lucky,

Toyota makes several trim levels of the Surf. All begin with "SSR", then, from lowest to highest grades, -V, -X, -X Limited, -G, and SportsRunner.

The SSR-X models are a grade above the V's; they have the widebody package (as mine does) that the V's do not.
