Do all intercooler surfs have the vent on the bonnet or is there another obvious way to tell

on the bonnet for 3rd gen, factory fitted

They do. Otherwise you could always be brave, open the bonnet and see if it's in there, it looks like a small radiator flat on top of the turbo
