Hi all,
Just been reading a few posts on trying to give a bit more poke to the diesel and am surprised that its a bit of a dead end on this motor , I just got rid of a nissan navara 2.5 which i bought as standard and with a few mods and remap made a huge difference so maybe it s an engine age thing not sure??.

which nissan 2.5 did you have?

you can do a lot to the 1kz.
couple things to watch is need to defeat the boost cut.
inlet manifold has issues, need some cut/weld to make it flow properly.
otherwise even with stock turbo you can wind the boost up a bit and up the fuel. important thing is to intercool and make sure its got good cooling.
