Does kzn185 relate to surf model or engine , I have a 1996 3rd gen surf and just want to know if the engines are reliable I think my engine is a130

N= Hilux, J= Landcruiser

L= L series engine
KZ = KZ series engine
B= B series engine

so if you have an LN130 its a 2.4td 130 series Hilux 2 gen surf
KZN130 3.0d 130 series Hilux 2 gen surf
KZJ 90/95 3.0td 90 series swb/95 series LWB landcruiser Colorado/Prado

and so on... Hope that helps

Thanks for the reply , I have a 1996 3ltr 3rd gen surf so hopefully the better type engine in it
