HEad needs replacing, what about the block?

My mum has overheated the Surf. Head will need replacing, I will get the AMC one from roughtrax and get it swapped over but I'm concerned about the block.

Will it need skimming? I'm geting it looked at / checked first before I buy any parts in case it's a write off.

If be surprised. The block is a serious lump of metal, a quick wipe down with a cloth and id bet it will be fine

Heads off, nothing wrong with the block. Head has never been changed until now he reckons, took him all day to get it off

Hope he gets the new one on right, Proper torque settings, gasket thickness etc. Good luck.
