3rd Gen steering column fix/mod

Has anybody tried this

to address the play/noise in the steering column? It's the kind of 'clicking' you get when driving over rough terrain, sounds as if it is coming from inside the column covers/housing.

It affects a lot of Toyotas, my Prado was exactly the same (although I didn't have it in the 2.4 Surf).

never done it, or experience that, but it's good to know, due where i am it can fail test for excessive play on steering, thanks for mention it
