No overdrive

Hi all

My 3.0td gen 2 1995 has stopped going into overdrive. This problem has been intermittent over the past two weeks. The gear changes now are higher revs and a bit more aggressive. Acceleration is up as well. When overdrive was working the gears changed smoothly. Any help would be much appreciated especially if someone in Swindon area can help.
