  • starting problems

Hi Guys, I'm having some starting trouble with my cruiser. No matter, hot or cold, it takes about 8+ seconds of cranking to start. When it starts, it runs fine and sounds healthy. It's not blowing any pressure in the coolant system. Starter replaced and she turns over fast. Two good batteries with 1000CCA. Cars in Florida so ambient temp is 25 celsius. 75F.

It's a Toyota Landcruiser 90 series with the 1KZT-E engine. No engine mods. No IC. Glow plugs are good. Like I said, cold or hot, it makes no difference. No air bubbles seem to be coming from return.

    Any help appreciated!

          Thanks for the suggestion guys.

Turned out to be the spill control valve needed tightening a touch more.

Glad it was a quick fix.
