Oil Leak

Hi, I'm Andi, just bought a kzn130 and I'm so impressed , every bolt comes undone easily and it only needed a tyre and foglight for the MOT , however I have a bad oil leak coming from a small drain hose that rests just above the N/S front axle, tracing it back the hose connects just under the oil filter, I wondered if this could be a cracked oil filter housing or could it be a damaged oil filter seal ? Does anyone know where the oil filter housing cracks ? Thanks for any help .

I had a similar problem with a Carina estate car many years ago , an oil change and new filter cured it, judging from the state of the oil and filter that came out I would think it was years since the last oil change had been done.

Thanks guys, I've done the oil and the old filters seal was rock hard, fingers crossed but it's looking good.
