  • Gear stick button jamming

After towing this & then some :

Over from Scotland, the button on the top of the gearstick refused to allow you to shift it out of park into any other gear. I've been using the red override button to release park.

Its fine once out of park & can move freely....even when driving( don't know if that's right) & it'll let me remove key if not in park.

The only thing that happened on the trip was that for a very short period of time whilst going up a steep winding hill the auto/trans oil light came on & it was reading low on the gauge on the dash

    Any ideas?

    Thanks Mel

    First check your brake lights.
    Then fuses
    then shift lock

I'll check fuses & lights tomorrow.

Might sound daft but what's shift lock & how do I find/check it?

      Cheers much

        Sorted, was a fuse!

Be aware that milners switch's for this year has a "T" shaped electrical connection rather than side by side as old one is so some adaptation would be required or at least some wires & connections
