Heater Matrix Removal

Hi, my coolant level keeps dropping and I can hear a sound like water escaping under pressure from behind the dash. Also noticed the foot well is wet so suspect a dodgy matrix.

Has anyone here changed one and if so any tips please ?

Not changed one, but have removed one...
Don't know if these are useful, but just incase...
