  • hidden battery ?

anyone tell me where to locate the 2nd battery on the 3rd gen surf's ?
had a quick look but must be playing hide n seek.
and have just paid £83 for a genuine TOYOTA new battery, hadn't got too much time to shop around. chap at KWIK FIT looked confused & slightly gormless when asked for a price so i ended up at the main dealer who thankfully are not afraid of imports ( CHEERS MARSHALLS )

I think that it is the 2nd gen that sometimes came with two batteries.

If life's an uphill struggle then downhill from now on can't be that bad?!

Both 2nd & 3rd Gen can have 2 batteries, depending on spec. If fitted it will be obvious to see, its in exactly the same location at the first, just on the opposite side.

so what are / were the benefits of 2 over 1 battery ? or is a size / strength thing ?

when's anyone gonna get it in their head that just cos it's an import that it needs special parts?

any battery the same rating would do the job!
i thought £40 was stretching it!

Matts right, every battery has a universal code on the top, just replace like for like.

Yeah fit like for like, I just had a new battery fitted, bought it off the shelf.

Go easy on the little chavs at kwikfit, they only know how to work on small hatchbacks, I took my surf in for a new set of tyres at kwikfit, the kiddy in there looked out of the window at the motor, and said ... sorry mate we can't get tyres for them.
