When to change cambelt?

Mines on 190k it's had a belt 5year ago would it be due now? Not sure how many miles it's done since as it isn't recorded.

Also are these engines prone to head gaskets?

Hi,
If yours is a 3.0 L you might as well do the cam belt, since it's very straight forward and quick to do. Especially since you have no record of when it was done before.
More than the gasket it's the head itself that goes on these engines, so keep your cooling system in goon nick. If you have just bought it, it' d be wise to flush and replace with new coolant and check that the thermostat opens and closes ok. Monitor the expansion tank levels to ensure you have no leaks.
