Hi, I've got a mystery leak that's coating the passenger side of the front axle with oily residue. It seems to be coming from the rear of whatever the component that mirrors the alternator is.
Looks like it could be power steering fluid, is it red in colour when on your fingers?
Check all round the power steering pump, (lower right hand side of the engine, as you look at it from the front, has a fan belt round the pulley on the front of it).
Recommend check p/s fluid immediately, if you haven't been doing and there's that much spill chances are you are getting dangerously low. Top off with standard Dextron transmission fluid, if the bottle of STP p/s stopleak you first add doesn't do the job.
Do not overfill.
Note: old p/s fluid is often no longer red, especially if the seals are failing on an old ride, probably been running the same stuff since Day One, so.
