I'm just on my way to Bulgaria which will be the new home for my Gen 2 3.0. Should have it on BG plates by mid week. Haven't been regularly driving it of late but I will miss it when it is gone, although it will add to the holiday fun knowing I get to drive it rather than some rental banger. We talked about selling it but every time we jumped into it, we couldn't bear to part with it. Probably a bit sad but they are such awesome motors.
Thanks to you all for participating in this forum as it has made a huge difference to my ownership and developed my amateur mechanical skills to a new level.
For economy reasons, it couldn't continue to be my regular commuter and I've just bought a 2002 RAV4 2.0 diesel. If anybody is an expert on them, I would be glad to hear from you.
Who knows, I may just have to buy another Surf.
