  • Roof racks

    Hello guys

I'm looking for a roof rack for a Hilux Surf 3rd Gen KZN185, but am struggling to find something that will fit in the existing roof rail channels. Has anyone else has this problem? Anyone found something that fits or will it have to be a custom made thing?

    Thanks for your help

I make these for £65 delivered. (Thats per pair of bars, not for three as in photo)

        Hi Matt,
I have a supply of channel nuts which fit the Gen 3 roof rails and allow Thule roofbar feet to be fixed to the roof. Sometimes called zebedee nuts as they have a spring attached.
£7 for a set of 9 (8 to use and 1 for a spare) inc delivery.
        PM me if interested.

I use the Thule square section bars with Thule 4700 feet and a Thule 4715 fitting kit. I believe this is listed as being for a Honda CRV.
        Cheers
        Mark

Yep, they're the things. That is cheaper than I can post them for. Go for it.
Yours look pretty solid as well, Vince

                  Thanks guys, much appreciated.

After posting this I looked a bit harder and found all the other threads - thanks for taking the time to reply, considering all the info was already on here! Doh!!!

After a bit of fannying around, managed to locate everything and get it all delivered today - need it all for tomorrow so a bit tight!!!

Those custom roof bars look good - wish I'd seen them before buying all the bits and pieces! Would've saved a shed load of hassle!!!

I got M6 zebedees. If they need to be M8 I'll just have to tap them out....
