  • Rear Wheel Arches

    Hi everyone,

Can any one give me some advice on how to take off the rear drivers side wheel arch extension. Mine has had a scrape and am renewing it with a replacement. I had a go at taking it off last weekend but the thing seems dam solid once the cross head screws have been removed. Am I missing other fixings. Any help would be much appreciated.

    Best regards

    Andy

    Removing rear Wheelarches

There are 2 plastic inserts inside the plastic wheel arch which hold bolts captive - these bolts stick through the inner steel wheelarch and if you rummage on the inside of the steel wheel arch you'll find the nuts that hold them.

The inner cover is bolted on using the hex head self tappers like the ones used on the plastic wheel arch. I have never removed one completely, there should be enough room to slide your hand in when you've removed the ones round the edge, that's what I did. It's a while ago since I did it, but I don't remember having a problem.

Just undo the 4 phillips screws (ones under the sill), drill out the 2 rivets(top of the wheel arch look like washers) and pull it off..
