Cylinder Head

Think mine needs changed, cooling system is pressurised, using a bit of coolant, lumpy and smoky to start when cold and deposits in the oil cap.

Is there a good step by step guide to changing it and are there any major pitfalls? Given no unforeseen issues how long is the job likely to take from start to finish? Also be good to know if there are any other bits worth changing on the truck whilst it is in bits, has done 221,000km.

New waterpump, new radiator, new hoses, new thermostat, new rad cap.

Renew oil in fan clutch.

While it's all apart might as well put new contacts in the starter moter.

Check your oil pipe on the turbo - a lot easier to do if the heads off.

Consider EGR blanking plates too..
