  • A couple of question

    Hi All

I've brought the old girl out of mothballs due to the possibility of a bit of snow.
The MOT flagged up a hole in the exhaust mid section.
I have changed it but the clamp that holds the exhaust steady has rusted through.
Milners or Roughtrax don't list them
Is there an easy fix or suggestion to get a replacement?

Also I feel my auto gear lever is loose.
I have searched the forum and can't see that anyone has posted a problem before.
Can anyone again give advice on how to fix?

    Many thanks

    Steve

You can get exhaust clamps from Halfords easy enoughor most other car parts places

True you can get basic exhaust clamp but the one under the surf attaches to a rubber mounting.
I will have to pop in and see if the do something similar

      Cheers

          Hi Growler
Are you sure this item would be available from the likes of Kwikfit?
If you take a look at the attached link to Roughtrax it's the clamp that attaches to the middle flexi section rather than a clamp that joins pipe to pipe

If they say its not fatal i shall live with it.
Might have a look to fix in the summer.
Didn't want the thing coming off in my hands whilst driving.

              Cheers

I was worried it may come away in my hands but after reading the posts in the link I can see it will just wobble.
Mine can wait till I'm next under the truck
