• KZN130-Engine Cuts Out !!

Hi folks! & a Happy New 2013 to you all

Don’t know if any other peeps have had this same course of events happen.......?
Have trawled the forum, but cannot find a similar scenario to mine.

Was getting the normal speedo issues (intermittent working), then packed up altogether, with the usual code 42. Have been happily truckin' for a few months with the dodgy speedo, until the truck had a breakdown 2 days ago. The Mrs phoned to say it just cut out on the A30, no warning, engine check light came on & all dash lights. RAC man checked it over & confirmed that all the essentials (fuel, air, power etc) were ok.

Happened to me today & it felt like a solenoid cutting out in the gearbox. Got like a lurching sensation very briefly before it cut out. Disconnected batteries & reconnected...all ok.

Since all this -have replaced speedo sensor & kph to mph converter & the speedo is now working & am getting no faults from the ECU. But it is still cutting out, usually when engine is at normal temp. Again, have run diagnostics with TE1 & E1 - just get continuous flashing engine & O/D light with no fault codes

Runs as smooth as it should. No loss of power at all.

How do you get error codes from the gearbox?
Was also wondering if any forum members would have a spare ECU (big assumption, sorry) to borrow for a few hours to see if this would be at fault?? (chuck in a couple o beer tokens of course)

Have visually inspected the ECU circuit boards for any signs of damage or lose soldering joins, but physically all looks ok.

Any help much appreciated.......
Submission?...Now that's a bit of a problem.
