airbox bracket

Hi
Has anyone done a mod for the airbox as im on my second box and thats just snapped the bracket off. I don`t have the spare cash for a snorkel.
Do any other airboxes fit?

What's snapping off and where is it snapping?

its the bracket of the airbox nearest the wing that bolts down with a rubber gromit in it.Its the longest bracket off the airbox

sorry its break point is where the bracket is welded to the box

Yes both there and was on the last box too.Is it a common fault or just me?

I`m thinking maybe a worn engine mount or something causing it to vibrate?

I`m a bit lost as engine is running smooth

Could it possibly be the lack of longitudinal flexibility that has resulted from moving away from the original flexible rubber hose?

i`ll find another one put it on and then do some research.Thanks for your help tho at least i know its not a common fault now and something wrong with my setup.

Have you blocked the vacuum hoses the wrong way as most do and then end up with a very shaky engine on shutdown. 99% of Surfs i look at get the vacuum hose thing wrong.
