  • KZN185 is injector pump same as KZN130

    Hi

    My KZN 185 fuel injector pump us found a spare on KZN 130 is it the same pump? it looks the same but a worried on internals.

    Same pump up to the 7/'98.

      Thank you a seller on EBAY said they were the same but I was not convinced. I have had a Surf with a KZN130 and it seemed gutless against the KZN185. I assumed that the pump internals would be different. Toyota wanted over £2200 plus vat for a pump. Mine went off for rebuilding but as main shaft snapped could net be rebuilt. Found one second hand one on internet but as it was from a KZN 130 had doubts as to if it would work will order in the morning.

        Just a wild guess, but I suspect that was due the intercooler.

              Well Toyota are wrong then my KZN185 has a fly by wire pump with no throttle cable so they are not all the same.

                None of them have a cable. Yours will be a different part number because it is after 7/98. Probably still 99.99% the same pump though.

                  The 98-on pumps have different shaped plugs and sockets, probably not much else different.
