Fitting Inline fuel filter

Gidday,
Just checking on the position of a new inline fuel filter that I am fitting. 2 lines go into the existing filter. One comes through the bulk head which I assume is fuel coming from the tank into the filter - so I need to fit the inline filter on this pipe - is that right?
