Blocked rad. Faulty fan fault water pump . Faulty rad cap. Could be a number of things. Flush it out check the condition of the rad.

      Everyones favorite topic....me included.

First off, was you loaded up or maybe going up steep hills...i.e was anything different each time it over heated? The Aussie site covers this at great lengths. Everything from tranny coolers to changing the resistors in the temp gauge so it reads as it should and not just head for the red zone rapidly.

There is also lots of threads on here about the subject.
      .... Which was nice.

I've just fixed mine as it was doing that recently.

          1) replaced waterpump and gasket, it now keeps its coolant and it circulates properly. Always better having coolant circulating, not hot air.

          2) Flushed the system through.

          3) Cleaned the radiator. It was completely rammed solid with mud. Made a massive difference

          Try those 3
