pink wire from ecu

hi guys, I changed the stereo in the 2nd gen i bought last month and whilst disposing of a s**t load of wires from the original jap one going to nav systems, cd changers ect i found a pink wire under the carpet in the rear passenger footwell. the wire goes from the ecu in the front passenger footwell. any body know where this should be connected or what it ussually does ? i have many issues so could be any thing from not starting to no rear speakers lol.

I seem to recall that the rear speakers have their own built in amplifiers. One of the many wires you chopped will have been to power the amp to make them play.
