Starter motor noise??

Starts ok but I get a noise after the engine catches like a rattle for a few seconds then it's ok.
Do I need a rebuild kit? or is this normal?

It's pseudo-normal. Don't worry about it for now.

Mine started rattling like that a couple of years ago. When I checked the starter motor I found the mounting bolts had worked loose. Got to be worth a check?

Will check the bolts, I'm going to the Le Mans classic race's this year so want to go over the truck before hand.
