My 3.0 came with a knackered box. No drive at all. Did the error codes, removed the plug on the box and tried it manually. (yes I searched the forum for a couple of nights- have read almost every thread on 'gearbox'
)
When I drained the box the atf was thin and jet black.
I have removed the old box and have a replacement ready to fit.
My questions are:
Will the torque convertor off the old knackered box be ok to use?
If no are the 3.0 TQ's the same as the 2.4's ?
If you tilt the gearbox up without the TQ fitted so the bellhousing faces the ground is it normal for atf to weep out around the input shaft or does a seal need replacing?
Thanks,
Rob.
