  • Timing Belt

I have been reading through the receipts for my new surf, and on one of the service receipts from a garage in Wales, it states that no need to do timing belt as there is a timing chain.

I was am not sure this is true, or is there a possibility that some helpfull person has done some kind of conversion to a chain?

    Cheers.

Id say it has a belt. Not too hard to check or indeed change if its a 3 litre.

It's the 2.7 petrol 3rd gen that has a timing chain.

If the belt breaks, it'll do serious damage.
