  • Hilux Surf or 4-Runner auto/manual

I have another thread open about comparisson to the landcruiser

What are the differences between a surf an 4-runner. Should I buy one avoid the other ?

    ie which is better value

HILUX SURF Turbo Diesel Auto, 1992 (J reg), 90k miles FSH £1695
    or
    HILUX 3.0 TD AC 4Runner manual, 1996 (N reg), 150k, FSH £1995

    Thanks

Of those two, the 4runner. The Surf doesn't have FSH and probably hasn't done 90k miles. It's about £700 too much even if it's in excellent condition.

Surfs are imports. Runners are UK models. Runners have less to go wrong (fuel injection and fly wheels mostly) but tend to be rusty. Otherwise, they're basically the same.
