  • What does the red check light on the rpm guage mean?

Why does the red check light
glow on my 1994 surf ssr-x
3.0? I was driving on the
    highway and when the car
    hits 80km/hr @3500rpm the
light came on. What does it mean (i had the car for only
    three days)?

Go to the diagnostics section of this manual.

Sorry, no. There are manuals for the 4Runner and others that are great for most of the mechanical, chassis and drive train side of things but aren't any help with the electronics etc for the turbo engines. I've been looking for the 2L-TE manual for a lot of years and never found one. The only possible source would be if someone went to Japan and hunted one down. Translation would then be needed.

Where is the diagnostic connector on the kzn130w

That manual is for the kzn165 series. If you look at this picture
My kzn130w is missing the diagnostic connector where the orange wire is attached in the image. Where is this this connector in the 1994 model?

It looks like the orange wire is connecting the two terminals you need to connect. Vehicle model may be different, engine is the same.

For yours (KZN-130), the Diagnostics box is on the other side of the engine bay, about 3/4 of the way back, with a grey cap, annotated "DIAGNOSIS" on the top.
