  • MOT Time

Well i was concerned about a few things on my truck, got the parts all ready and thought omg i dont have enought time to fit them, so took it round to the local garage and asked them to fit the parts then MOT it.

Well they did it there way and now it failed on lack of Rear Fog light and a number plate light.

Phew these things are soo rock solid, get it back today all passed and with little or no work done to it.
    Always room for more power!!!!

They were the two things mine failed on too! the number plate was a blown bulb and the fog light was a loose wire!

Mine failed on a bottom ball joint and the passenger seat belt. All sorted and now has 12months MOT. In the last 18 months it has only done about 300 miles! It is now time to give the truck a clean and put it up for sale

How can you fail an MOT on fog lights and number plate lights ? Did they blow on the way to the test station ??, after you had checked them all before setting off.

I had forgotton all about my MOT until the day before it was due, so I phoned my local garage (I know the guys there) and they got me straight in - so I didn't check anything!

I was more concerned with the play in the ball joints I found whilst doing the front disks and pads, and the diff oil on the inside if the rear wheel than checking light.

Omg jotto what are you doing selling up...

They are among items that should be checked before the trip to the test centre really, no excuse.

mine went in yesterday and to a garage I dont really like, was a bit nervous as I have just done new head, rad, water pump, etc but it was sitting static without running for 9 months!! But I DID check lights, seat belts, only thing it failed on was a brake imbalance to the near side, they cleaned up the caliper/disc and passed it!!! it's all road legal again only took about a year! lol
