    ladies,Gents
    Looking for a Starter motor for my KNZ185 SSRG, they are a bit pricey and the budget is tight at the moment, any kind soles on here have a working one lying around there luxury apartments,villa's ect.. willing to pay good money for the right one!!!

    I'm not sure if this works for the 1kz-te's as well, but on 4runners and 80 series landcruisers, you can just replace the contacts in the starter rather than replace it:

    Anyone know if that works for us as well?

      thanks fella, just ordered a starter repair kit for my model for small bucks of fleabay, hope there ok.
      i will not be removing the motor, a mechanic friend will be doing it...its just to bigger job for me and my delicate pinkies..and June looks like its gonna be cold aswell!!

            pain in the ass...ahh got it, dont think its that bad according to most of the comments on here on how to do it.

                Just some info about this, purchased a starter motor repair kit from fleebay for £12.50 and this resolved the problem, the kit consisted of 2 contacts and a plunger and did the trick.
