    Tony,

If you are still reading this Thread :-).

I spoke with the garage today and they can bring the truck down your way next week. I hope that is ok, please tell me if I am overly taking liberty's!

Not sure how much it is going to be yet. Going to discuss on Tuesday.

    Cheers,

    Rob

          "Hijack" Guys
If somebody has a suitable trailer to Loan/borrow nearby for the transportation I would be willing to come up to Cambridgeshire n collect n deliver to Tony in Basingstoke (for Fish n Chips, "I have the oil") if that would help !!

Also I am happy to pay if someone can help.

              Diezel,

Thinking about it, I can rent a trailer... give you some cash, get you fish and chips and a crate of your favorite beer and still save myself 300 neffs.

              What you think?

              Cheers,

              Rob

                  £45 a day, or £75 for two.

It'll be fun handwinching a Surf on to it though.

                    Sweeeeet!!!

Where abouts are you based? I am thinking it might be easier if I organise a trailer local to you, pay for it over the phone or something. That way when our mission is done you can just drop it off on your way back? Rather than drop the truck off, head back to Cambridge or something to drop the trailer off and head back to Bristol or something :-).

I will try and get Tony on the phone today and arrange a day that is best for us to bring him a dead surf.

Oh yeah do you have a mobile number, might be better to sort the finer details over the phone.

Also don't forget to let me know the type of fish you like and your preferred beverage ;-).

                    Cheers,

                    Rob

Sounds like you have the makings of a plan. If it doesn't work though, £415 is absurd. Ring around and you ought to be able to find someone to do it for around £125. It cost me £200 odd to get a dead Surf and a Lexus LS400 from Surrey to South Wales.
Shiply (google it) is good if you have time to wait for some decent offers - the good offers tend to take about a week to ten days to come in though...
                      Good luck!

I will make some inquiries on that link, see if they have a trailer with a winch on. I found this link, it is fairly near you.

Spoke to the guys at the Ebay link, There is a winch on there.

We could go ahead for next Thursday if you like? I could easily meet you there and probably leave my car.

Let me know what you think.

                                Cheers!
