Hi all, done my first coolant change today and I am a little concerned about how I done it. Basically I had ordered 5lt of red coolant from roughtrax but realised after emptying the system that the coolant is premixed!! Now what I did was use the 5lts then topped the rest with water! Will this be ok or shall I order another 2 x coolants and do it all again? What do you think???? Cheers for advice people!!

It'll be fine for now, but increase the anti-freeze ratio before next winter.
It's best to use de-ironised water though. -
Thanks for the quick reply! It's stopped me worrying. Is it good practice to run and turn heaters on and top up again after letting it cool over night?? I figured its not had de-ironised water in before so didn't bother! Cheers again.Comment
