Hi there,
My problem is that when I start the car it won`t rev up from the pedal or from under the bonnet.
It did start to blow out a bit of smoke while standing still but nothing to drastic,and I`m not sure which direction to take it.
Any suggestions/answers welcome

change the fuel filter

If changing the filter doesn't make any difference, it could be drawing air. Try gravity feeding the fuel pump directly from a bottle of diesel.
Also, if it is rough when it does actually start, you might want to check your timing belt hasn't jumped a tooth.
