  • Torque Converter?

Can anybody advise me on a problem I am having on my 96 3ltr Turbo Diesel.
At very slow speeds ie crawling in traffic, the engine feels rough as if it is going to stall, as soon as I put my foot on the brake the engine idles normally. I have no real problems when changing up or down through the gears. Though once or twice over the last month on motorway travel I have detected a slight miss on the engine - very quick and almost unnoticable(did I spell that right?). I am in the Pyrenees at the moment and phoned up the garage that usually services the truck in the UK for advice. They suggested it could be the Torque converter. Anybody had similar problems?.
Thanks in advance for any help.

What your describing more or less rules out the torque converter as the opposite would happen when you applied the brake I would get the injectors checked first.
