I'm after a new head and wanted to contact him, but the link at the top doesn't work.
Had my truck 9 yrs, spent half its life with me towing and thought i was being lucky on the head issue. oh well :-(

Thanx for the Steve's number and your advise.
Wizzed my head off last night, but no visable cracks.

Took valves out and took it down to my local machine shop (South Cerney Engineering) where it was pressure tested and they found several cracks under the valve seats.
Ive only done about 200 miles since I noticed my 'steam engine' problem.
I used to carefully released the radiator cap before switching engine off after each run, which significantly reduce the steam ouf of the exhaust on the next start up.
I assume when the more visable cracks appear between the valves, a lot more milage has been covered with the symptems?.

Any way one of Steves Toyota heads is on its way and the bank balance is feeling lightened :-/
